Her Health is Critical.
You can help support her care.

A good Samaritan found Millie wandering in Bradley Beach, alone and with no leash or collar. Her condition was devastating.
Millie was emaciated, with severely overgrown nails, significant hair loss, sores covering her body, crusted eyes, swollen lymph nodes, ear infections, and internal parasites. The smell of her infected skin was something our team won't soon forget.
Her Body Condition Score is a 1 out of 9 - the lowest possible score before death.
We don't know how old Millie is since her body has endured so much that even estimating her age is difficult, but we believe she may be a senior dog. What we do know is that she desperately needs help.
Will you help us give Millie the care she deserves?

Millie is now in a loving medical foster home, where she can receive the close monitoring and attention she needs.
Her treatment includes ongoing bloodwork to monitor her health, antibiotics, skin medications, antifungal medication, eye drops, and medicated baths. She is also following a carefully managed refeeding plan to help her regain weight safely without overwhelming her fragile body.
She shakes almost constantly, and we can only imagine how frightened and uncomfortable she must feel. But despite everything she has been through, Millie remains gentle, and her kind heart shows a softness that reminds us just how much these animals need us.
We are working hard to keep Millie comfortable, and her recovery will be a day-by-day process. We are cautiously optimistic, but she still has a long way to go. Her journey is far from over.

Donations will help cover her ongoing medical care, repeat bloodwork, medications, treatments, and the support she needs as her body begins to heal. Millie has already endured more than any dog should. Now, she deserves the chance to feel safe, comfortable, and loved.
Please donate today to help us give Millie that chance. Every contribution helps us continue fighting for her, one day at a time.
