Riverdale Country School students have made Play for Runway their own — turning their games into meaningful support for families navigating metastatic breast cancer and the loss of a parent. The partnership began with Savannah Phillips, who grew up in the Runway community after watching her mom, Kathryn, go through breast cancer treatment when Savannah was just three years old. Savannah brought Runway to Riverdale, and students including Finn Ptashek and now Abigail Fischbach have continued to carry it forward across different sports and years.
Together, Riverdale students have raised more than $14,000 for Runway.
This October, Riverdale football and tennis will come together for another special Play for Runway evening. Make a gift and help this incredible community continue showing up for families when they need it most.
