When Teachers Are Prepared, Students Are Ready
Across the country, teachers are back in their classrooms after a summer of learning, preparation, and professional growth. At the Center, we’ve spent the summer working alongside them at our immersive Summer Institutes to deepen their content knowledge and strengthen the skills they need to bring civic learning to life.
Now the real work begins.
As students return to school, they will have opportunities to collaborate, examine evidence, listen to different perspectives, and practice the skills of civic participation.
But those opportunities depend on teachers who are prepared to make them possible.
This September 14-30 we’re highlighting the powerful connection between teacher preparation and student learning—and asking you to help us equip teachers and empower students. Please help spread this message and deepen the impact of civic learning in our communities.
