Since 2020, Rhythm Seed Farm has grown into so much more than a farm. It’s a place for community, connection, and belonging. 💚
Rhythm Seed Farm has become a second home for many: a place to gather, learn, volunteer, reconnect with the land, and build meaningful relationships.
We’ve donated thousands of seed packets to Pacific Northwest organizations serving BIPOC and historically marginalized communities, helping put seeds and fresh food into the hands of many.
Together, we’ve grown more than 10 million locally adapted seeds, trained the next generation of growers, and built a community rooted in resilience and abundance.
Now, we’re facing one of the biggest challenges in our history: we’re being displaced from the land we’ve called home. While this chapter is heartbreaking, we see this as an opportunity to build something lasting.
We have a chance to reimagine what Rhythm Seed Farm can become, but we can’t do it alone.
Your support will help us secure a new home, uplift the community we’ve built, and ensure Rhythm Seed Farm can continue to spread seed sovereignty for years to come. 🌱
Why Your Support Matters
Every donation helps us keep our team working, relocate our plants and infrastructure, protect our collection of locally adapted seeds, and continue serving growers, schools, and communities with free seed donations.
Your support helps to preserve everything we have grown in the last 5 years, and gives us the opportunity to find a new home without having to shut down our operations.
Why we’re raising $50,000 🌱
Moving a working seed farm is a major undertaking. Your contribution will help us:
✨ Keep our staff employed throughout the transition
✨ Safely relocate plants, seeds, tools, and farm infrastructure
✨ Continue our programs while we move (including our donation program)
✨ Prepare and establish our next growing site
✨ Prevent an interruption that could force us to pause programs or lay off our staff
We plan to raise the full $50,000 by December 31, 2026. Reaching this goal will allow us to maintain the momentum our community has built and keep our work growing during a deeply uncertain time.

We are searching for at least half an acre in Northeast Portland, ideally in the Cully neighborhood. We are open to:
✨ A long-term lease
✨ Partnership with a landowner or land trust
✨ Donated property
✨ Support from a donor or philanthropist interested in purchasing and preserving land for community benefit
Our dream is to find a permanent home where Rhythm Seed Farm can put down deep roots without facing displacement again; a place where we can keep growing seeds, people, and community for generations to come. We are inviting you to join us on our journey!

Rhythm Seed Farm is a nonprofit urban farm and community gathering space in Northeast Portland dedicated to seed stewardship, regenerative agriculture, and community resilience.
We donate seeds to PNW organizations building community resilience. For every seed packet sold we donate one to BIPOC and historically marginalized communities.Â
