Donations directly support Azulita Project's international grant program. Each year, Azulita awards grant funding to select international nonprofit partners aligned with Azulita's mission to empower community action to prevent and reduce plastic waste.
Azulita Project's International Grant Program
Azulita Project’s international environmental education initiatives and waste plastic reduction/collection goals are achieved in partnership with a small, select group of locally-led nonprofit partners based within Azulita's geographic focus areas.
Each year, Azulita provides operational and program grants to key international nonprofit partners to support their work. Past grant awards include funding for the Community Engagement to Reduce Plastics in the Binational Lower Tijuana River Watershed program, startup support to assist a new environmentally-focused nonprofit, and operating support for a community-wide waste plastic collection program in Guerrero, Mexico.

International Partner Spotlight
Proyecto Saladita
Azulita Project began partnering with Proyecto Saladita in 2025, providing key funding and mentorship during Proyecto's journey to gain nonprofit status in Mexico. Nonprofit status achieved, Proyecto focuses on its mission to protect the coastal environment of Playa La Saladita, Guerrero, Mexico, and surrounding communities by reducing plastic waste, building strong local recycling systems, and empowering people through education and action.
Led by local Saladita residents, Projecto Saladita continues the work started over a decade ago by Azulita Project. Proyecto Saladita continues to collaborate closely with Azulita to identify sustainability goals, develop effective programs, and create a strong and transparent organizational culture.
