Coursework

Far from conventional dining, this event will transform an entire venue into an environment where every element advances a cohesive, creative concept. The act of eating and drinking turn away from passive consumption and moves towards an intentional and embodied ritual around sustenance, both physical and emotional.
The space itself will be designed with intention, creating immersion that aligns with the evening’s narrative arc and being reshaped to evoke a unified aesthetic that guests inhabit and respond to throughout the night. The experience begins with a carefully crafted set of prompts that invite guests to explore a specific feeling, preference of memory. Guests are given time to reflect and write their responses on a simple card. Trained waitstaff serve not only as servers, but skilled conversational guides. Moving between tables, their job is primarily to facilitate deeper insight via open, non-intrusive questions and encouraging guests to share (or keep private) what the prompts stirred for them
This is to create an intimate, supportive atmosphere in which guests also discuss their reflections with others at their table, turning the meal into shared dialogue. Those personal and collective responses are then interpreted in real time by chefs and mixologists. The culinary team transmutes emotional landscapes into the food and drink itself. Flavor, aroma, color, shape, and presentation become their palette: a sense of longing might taste smoky and appear layered; joy might manifest in bright, effervescent cocktails with floral lifts or playful geometry. Each course and drink is a direct, sensory response to what’s already present in the room.
