Save the IATBP 2026 Competitions
This year's international bodybuilding and powerlifting competitions for trans athletes is in danger of not happening. Help us ensure our athletes can compete!
About the IATBP and Our Competitions
We put on competitive and affirming events and other programming throughout the year for trans athletes, and we've seen firsthand how much of an impact we make in the lives of the athletes competing and everyone who supports them. Unfortunately, this might be the first year that we aren't able to put on these competitions, much less any other programming online or in-person for the rest of this year or next year.
Every contribution, big or small, makes a real impact. Even just a few dollars can help us put on this year's event for the athletes coming all the way to Atlanta to compete.

One of the athletes flying out to Atlanta to compete this year is even offering to match the first $1000 of donations to this fundraiser. That's how much this organization matters to our community.
If you can’t donate right now, sharing this fundraiser is also incredibly helpful. Your kindness and generosity, in whatever capacity that might be, means the world to our team and to all of our athletes!
Curious about our impact?
Check out some testimonials from athletes and audience members who attended our competitions in 2025.
"...the energy and support here was amazing and has inspired me to keep lifting."
"I really love the way this event celebrates and uplifts the participants and athletes. For folks that are cultivating a healed and holistic relationship with their bodies, this event felt so wholesome and empowering—it provided representation, inspiration, and it was fun!"
"This is my first time watching a powerlifting competition. The camaraderie, support, and smiles [were] beautiful. It was really uplifting and I’ll definitely go to a queer or trans powerlifting event again in the future."
"I thought this was a great event[,] really beautiful to watch. My only hope is that it could become bigger with more athletes and audience members."
"It was beautiful. I am not much of a crier, but I sat in the audience and cried. Safe spaces are harder to come by these days so my heart needed to see this. Also, the athletes are wildly impressive. Their dedication to their sport is apparent. I loved this event."
"Our 15 [year-]old trans son is getting into weight lifting and this event was great to bring him to to show there are others like him!"
