Jeanne's Story

Ralph and Jeanne Cestone
“I felt like they saved my life when I was drowning.”
In 2023, Jeanne’s husband was diagnosed with behavioral variant FTD (bvFTD). Having never heard of the disease, she had no idea what to do. When Jeanne first reached out to the HelpLine, she was at a breaking point — trying to keep her job, their only source of income, while managing Ralph's care, which he was very resistant to.
“The AFTD HelpLine pointed me to information and resources that became the foundation for figuring out this new world we were living in. More importantly, they provided a kind and understanding voice when everything around me felt aggressive and confusing.”
