Donald E. Newhouse died on May 26, 2026 at the age of 96.

Following the loss of his wife, Susan, and brother, Si, to variants of FTD, Newhouse became a tireless advocate for AFTD. Through his philanthropy, advocacy, and public leadership, he helped raise awareness and advance research.

The entire AFTD community mourns Don's passing. His commitment to families facing FTD, and his belief in a future free of this disease, will continue to inspire our work.
