Behind the Curtain
The Legacy Theatre of Excellence is a 250-seat immersive theater and event hall equipped with top-of-the-line audio, video, and lighting, built for new, experimental, and intimate productions. Our Dance Studio provides a dedicated space for training, performances, rehearsals, and artistic residencies for local and national artists. Our Multimedia Production Studio offers professional audio and video facilities for podcasts, music recordings, video presentations, and beyond.
Community Outreach & Classes
Broadway in the HOOD makes the performing arts accessible to everyone, regardless of financial background. Our outreach efforts include arts education in schools, professional mentorship, engaging workshops, and workforce development programs that create real career pathways. We also feed our community and offer free to low-cost productions, ensuring the arts remain available to all. Led by experienced professionals, we are committed to empowering our community through the power of the performing arts.
The African American Entertainment Museum
Boasting rotating exhibitions highlighting the achievements of African Americans and people of color and their contributions to the entertainment industry. From Broadway to Basketball, the museum will celebrate those who paved the way and those who are paving the way.

Broadway In The HOOD is raising $3 million to fully pay off The Legacy Theatre of Excellence, Nevada’s first African American-owned and operated theatre and education complex, and the home of the African American Entertainment Museum. Our mission is to uplift and empower underserved communities through FREE arts education, low-cost live theatre, mentorship programs, workforce development, and professional training in acting, music, dance, and technical theatre—creating life-changing opportunities for youth and families throughout the state of Nevada.
For more than 15 years, Broadway In The HOOD has been a driving force in arts communities across the country, producing over 100 productions and helping thousands of youth and young adults from diverse backgrounds discover purpose, confidence, discipline, and hope. Through the power of the arts, our students have gained access to higher education, professional careers, leadership opportunities, and lifelong mentorship that continues to transform lives both on and off the stage.
The Legacy Theatre of Excellence stands as more than a building—it is a beacon of culture, creativity, education, and opportunity for generations to come. Every donation helps ensure that young people, regardless of their economic background, have access to a safe space where their voices are heard, their talents are nurtured, and their dreams are possible!!!!
