Why This Matters
Brother Darnell shows up every day to help keep The Black Block Cultural District clean, welcoming, and vibrant. After losing access to a reliable vehicle, he continues serving the community using a gifted bike and borrowed cars whenever possible. This fundraiser will help the Black Block Community Foundation purchase a reliable community-use truck to support beautification, outreach, events, small businesses, and daily district operations while helping Brother Darnell get back on wheels.
“I love the unity. I love what we do here. I think that a lot of times we could be a better support to each other if we communicate. Communication is the best part of any business.”
— Brother Darnell
