This multi-platform project includes both book and film rights to an amazing life story of perseverance; the building of the McAfee House, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright; and the establishment of The McAfee Foundation to promote Nature and Art education.

The Boo McAfee Story:
Book and Film Rights

This story begins with Boo being sliced in the head with a welding rod at 10 months old, then buried in a pile of bricks by his intoxicated mother to fake an accident. From being a "ward of the state of Florida," Boo's story moved on to his discovery of the drums at 11, which would bring him into the studio and on stage with such artists as Donna Fargo, the Bellamy Bros., Hank Cochran, John Carter Cash, Willie Nelson, and more.

Boo would later set a 1981 Guinness World Record by
drumming for 738 hours, as seen in the documentary Breaking and Entering, which coincided with Boo's invention of the Drumometer and establishment of the extreme music sport WFD: World's Fastest Drummer.

Boo and his wife Laura, an artist and educator, established
Drum-O-Farm™ in 2006 to practice their organic study of how nature effects art.

Finally, the story of the construction of the historic McAfee House, designed by the great Frank Lloyd Wright for Boo’s ancestor James L. McAfee in 1894, will be documented in film and print.

Building and Capturing
The McAfee House
by Frank Lloyd Wright

For 45 years, Boo McAfee has been a deeply devoted disciple of Frank Lloyd Wright. Since his discovery of the building's existence some 25 years ago, its construction has become an obsession. The project of recording its history, along with the daily hands-on building of The McAfee House, makes for incredible multi-format content.

The McAfee House Foundation

The House and these associated projects will be funded and owned by the not-for-profit McAfee House Foundation. Initial funding will come from the licensing and production rights of the Boo McAfee story, media rights to The McAfee House, and independent donors. We are now in the process of finalizing the McAfee House Foundation which will bring together some of the strongest, most talented and devoted disciples of Mr. Wright, with only the purest intentions to see his visions of how nature and art work together in organic harmony.

The McAfee Foundation is a fiscally sponsored project of the Allied Arts Foundation.
