Every wave, every smile, and every moment we share with the ocean connects us to the life beneath the break.
This campaign is our chance to give back to that living world by advancing coral conservation in Marino Ballena National Park, strengthening the lab behind the work, and opening real pathways for reef protectors, ocean stewards, and future coral scientists.

Join the challenge by posting a photo or short video, making a donation, and challenging someone else to join. Tag a friend, business, surf school, instructor, lodge, or ocean lover and help carry the campaign forward.
The ask is simple:
“We’re taking the Smile Above. Restore Below. Challenge to support Costa Rica Coral Restoration. We’re donating, sharing, and challenging @_____ to do the same."
SURF-A-THON DETAILS
When: Sunday, June 21, 7:00–11:00 AM
Where: Playa Chaman entrance, Marino Ballena National Park
Who: Everyone is welcome. Paddle out, come to the beach, donate, share, or support however you can.
Food: Snacks and refreshments will be available at the event.

This campaign helps Costa Rica Coral Restoration equip the lab for the future of coral restoration, research, and education, giving more people a real way to see the work up close, understand the science, and take part with care.

Research & Lab Capacity:
Equipment for coral monitoring, health assessment, restoration trials, fragmentation, and research-quality data collection.
Hands-On Education & Community Participation:
Learning tools, guided lab resources, and restoration materials that help students, local community members, surfers, and visitors see coral up close, understand the science, and take part responsibly.
