About JAVC's "Liberty Commons" - Homes for Veterans
It started with a simple, but urgent reality: Too many veterans in our community don’t have access to affordable housing. At the Jerry Ambrose Veterans Council (JAVC), we see it every day—men and women who have served our country, but are struggling to find a place they can call home. Not just a roof over their head, but a place where they belong.
Veterans don’t just need housing. They need community.
They thrive when they’re surrounded by others who understand them—who’ve walked similar paths, faced similar challenges, and can support one another in ways no one else can. That’s why we’re building Liberty Commons.
We have secured over 4 acres of land in Kingman, Arizona, and are working with Selberg Associates to design a 72 unit Veteran housing community, with each home thoughtfully designed at approximately 450 square feet. This isn’t just a housing project—it’s a Veteran village. A place where Veterans can: Rebuild stability, Regain independence and Rediscover purpose through connections.
Construction will be completed by a licensed contractor selected through a competitive RFP process, ensuring the highest level of quality and accountability.
Now we need your help. We’re moving from vision to reality—and your support will directly fund the construction of these homes and the infrastructure needed to bring Liberty Commons to life.
