The Wound Center at GBMC serves more than 2,500 patients each year across more than 12,000 visits — the highest volume of any wound center on the East Coast. Our team delivers advanced wound care for patients recovering from surgery, injury, infection, or complex healing challenges. Even within a dated space, this team delivers extraordinary care.
Now, GBMC is preparing the next chapter.
The current Wound Center was last renovated more than 20 years ago. Its fourth-floor location requires long travel distances for patients who may be in pain or using mobility aids, and treatment rooms were designed for an earlier era of care.
The new ground-level center changes all of that — bringing patients closer, with 17 expanded treatment rooms, a dedicated entrance with covered drop-off, and clinical spaces built for today's standard of care.
