About Fuel Our Start Up Phase
The Jacksonville Chess Club has existed since the 1970s as an informal club that was primarily geared toward adults. Onslow County Schools has fueled the growth and enthusiasm for chess among students. We are finally taking the leap to build the infrastructure to take chess ins Onslow County to the next level. A dedicated chess center will allow us to grow coaches and tournament directors to support classes, camps, and tournaments for all students.
