About Piedmont Augusta Foundation

In 1978, Harry W. Jernigan Jr. established our Foundation to serve as the philanthropic arm of our local healthcare network. Since then, both Piedmont Augusta and Piedmont Augusta Foundation have grown exponentially and share the same purpose: to make a positive difference in every life we touch.

From patient assistance to employee scholarships, capital support and vital equipment purchases, the Foundation provides the financial resources necessary to ensure our community’s optimum level of care. The Foundation fills the void in our community’s healthcare services by funding programs and projects with insufficient resources and deemed critical healthcare needs.
