Each May, our family hosts Happy Heart Week in honor of our son, Henry, who lives with Barth syndrome—an ultra-rare and life-threatening genetic disorder.
What started as a small effort has grown into a powerful, community-driven campaign. In 2025, together with our sponsors and supporters, Happy Heart Week raised more than $320,000 for the Barth Syndrome Foundation and helped fuel a historic milestone: the first-ever approved treatment for Barth syndrome.
And yet, we are just getting started.
This year’s campaign is about building on that momentum—ensuring access to treatment, advancing research, and continuing to create a future where individuals with Barth syndrome can truly thrive.

The Barth Syndrome Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Your sponsorship is tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. The fair market value of any goods received (including Happy Heart Week t-shirts) will be deducted from the total contribution amount for tax purposes.
