Paddle for a Purpose rallies the community to support our overall mission—to guide young people off the grid and into their hearts! Our programs invite young people in all seasons to adventure, connect, and reflect. We have been pioneering the youth development field with a simple method of bringing back a nature-based childhood alongside trusted adult mentors. Together we can elevate the inextricable link between human wellness and the wild places we call home.

Hearty Roots is a scrappy, nimble organization that responds quickly to the real needs of young people and families in our community. We operate debt-free and stretch every dollar to reach as many youth as possible through our unique model—meeting kids where they are in schools, welcoming them onto our campus grounds, and staying connected in their lives over the span of years. Today, that approach allows us to serve more than 1,000 youth each year across Lincoln County. Flexible support helps us keep growing, strengthen our programs, and continue showing up for young people with the mentorship, adventure, and belonging they need to thrive.
