Why Your Support Matters
Since 2018, many of you have come to know us through our free community farm stands, where we’ve provided fresh, locally grown food to families in Rainier Beach every summer. These farm stands have been more than just food distribution — they’ve been spaces of nourishment, connection, and dignity, where neighbors gather and everyone can access healthy food without barriers. Unfortunately, due to current budget constraints, we are unable to operate our free farm stand program this year. This decision has been incredibly heartbreaking for our team. We know how much our community depends on this resource, and we remain deeply committed to showing up for our neighbors in meaningful ways.
That’s why we’re asking for your support. With your donations, we hope to:
• Provide dry goods and shelf-stable food items to the families who have relied on our farm stands
• Continue serving community members who depend on us for consistent access to food
• Support local BIPOC farmers who are also experiencing reduced income as a result of these cuts
Your contribution will directly help us maintain food access in Rainier Beach and ensure that both community members and farmers are not left behind during this difficult time.
