A Month of Hope
Bridgetown Veterinary Emergency + Referral has teamed up with Ukandu for the month of May - Brain Cancer Awareness Month - to support Portland area families through a childhood cancer diagnosis.
All money raised goes directly to Ukandu and ensures that all families have access to their services, 100% free of charge.

Ukandu creates hope, joy, and connection for families battling childhood cancer through programs, services, and experiences outside the hospital setting. The organization serves the entire family – from diagnosis through treatment, and beyond – with one-on-one and group mental health services, overnight camps, and a first-of-its-kind community space where kids can be kids again, and families can heal together. All of this is offered 100% free of charge.
"At Bridgetown Veterinary Emergency + Referral, our daily mission is centered on healing patients and supporting the bond between families and the pets they love. Partnering with Ukandu allows us to extend that circle of care to the bravest members of our community. This partnership is especially close to our hearts, as members of our own Bridgetown team have personally been on the receiving end of Ukandu’s support and services. One lucky winner will receive an Oregon Zoo membership (for a family of up to four) and four tickets to Hopscotch, Portland’s premier immersive art experience. Keep an eye out the first week of June, when the raffle winner will be announced!"
All donations will go directly to Ukandu, and will allow the organization to continue running their programs and services at no charge to families.
