Turn compassion into action

Help us send our next generation of volunteers to Greece this summer to serve the country's most vulnerable communities.

Your support ensures that financial barriers will never stand in the way of a young person who feels called to serve and continue in educating themselves through the Greek America Corps.

Support Our Volunteers

The Greek America Foundation exists because of people like you. People who believe in lifting up others in our communities, preserving our heritage and investing in the next generation of those who will represent it. Our Greek America Corps volunteers are students and young professionals who carry the same values many of us were raised on: care for community, pride in the Greek culture that made us who we are, and that unique sense of philotimo that only we understand. Doing good not just because it is the right thing to do, but because we were born into this being a crucial part of who each of us are. We volunteer not as charity, but as solidarity. An act that transforms the giver as much as the receiver. When we lift others, we elevate ourselves.

Every gift, at any level, will make a difference these young adults, our volunteers, will talk about for the rest of their lives.

Explore the tiered giving opportunities below and what you’re supporting:

$15,000 – Support the full duration of the Athens or Thessaloniki program.
$25,000 – Support the full duration of the Chios Program.

This could be you.
It could be your son, your daughter, your grandchild,
a family member, a friend or even a neighbor or community member,
taking part in one of these programs.

They could be serving communities in Greece, building those lifelong connections and friendships, and returning home forever changed by that once in a lifetime experience. These programs don’t just shape resumes, although I am sure they make particularly interesting discussions; they shape people. They inspire individuals to have more compassion, carry new responsibility, and maintain a commitment to give back long after their summer ends.

"I felt compelled to do something more meaningful – to give back to the country I owe half my heritage
and feel incredibly connected to."
Spiros

"From dancing ζεϊμπέκικο in the street at midnight because some lady told me to join her, to realizing Chios really does put mastic in everything– hand sanitizer, hair products, drinks, food– to eating some incredible dishes, drinking countless lemonades, visiting Venneti cafe every morning, and all the volunteer work I got to do, this experience is truly once in a lifetime.

The things I learned and the memories I made…I’ll carry that all with me for a very long time."

Demetra

"If someone had told me then everything I would come to learn through GAC-or that I would be applying for my third summer working with children and communities that have so profoundly enriched my life-I don’t think I would have known how it was possible to feel that lucky. Seeing firsthand the impact I have been able to make in this community in both 2024 and 2025 are moments I will never forget.

The beauty, history, culture, people, and philotimo found in Greece continue to make me fall in love all over again, year after year."
