OPEN THE WORLD — JAPAN 2026
DBG's First International Study Abroad Trip
Why Your Support Matters
DBG's approach has always gone beyond the classroom. Through long-term relationships and personalized plans, we help students build the skills that predict lifelong success: confidence, adaptability, purpose, and agency. Study abroad accelerates that growth. By experiencing a new culture, navigating unfamiliar environments, and engaging in global learning, students expand how they see the world—and how they see themselves within it. This trip is not tourism. It is education, exposure, and possibility in motion.
The Experience
16 students in grades 6-9 will participate in a 9-day, in-depth Japan program, including:
- Guided cultural and historical tours in Tokyo, Kyoto, Kanazawa, and Hiroshima
- Visits to temples, museums, and innovation centers Japanese language exposure and cultural immersion
- Structured reflection, leadership building, and global learning experiences
Students actively prepare for the trip through classes and fundraising efforts that build responsibility, commitment, and pride in their journey.
