Activism in Action
Supporting the organizations that provide crisis intervention, counseling, education and advocacy is a powerful way to take action in the movement to end gender-based violence. As 2025 draws to a close, you can help make it possible for Sauti Yetu to continue supporting survivors in the months ahead.

How does my donation make an impact?
Sauti Yetu Center for African Women specializes in providing social services, counseling, and crisis intervention for African immigrant women and girls who have experienced gender-based violence. Care is provided in our clients' preferred languages whenever possible.
All of our services are free to community members, so your donation allows us to provide personalized, culturally-attuned, trauma-informed care to everyone in need, regardless of their income or status.
Your Impact in Action
Sauti Yetu's Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) program recently assisted Ada,* who fled from an abusive relationship and arrived in New York City without any resources or access to stable housing. Communicating in her native language, our Case Manager set her and her children up with warm winter clothes and placement in a safe, family-oriented shelter environment. Once her basic needs were secured, we connected her with legal services to navigate her ongoing court hearings with her abusive ex-partner and English classes to help her attain her goal of one day attending college. The VAWG Case Manager also reviewed and edited her resume, assisted her with her job search, and referred her to counseling services.
*Name changed to protect confidentiality.
