WHY TNTC?
Great Teachers Start Here
The teacher shortage is causing a national crisis and many universities are cutting or closing their teacher preparation programs. Many teachers left the profession during and after COVID and others retired, leaving an estimated 100,000+ teacher vacancies across the country in 2025.
That's why we founded
The National Teachers College - a new, nonprofit, institution
with one mission: to prepare exceptional teachers for the classrooms
that need them most.
The National Teachers College envisions a national network of empowered teachers transforming education through innovation, equity, and community.
We offer a bold, sustainable model for preparing new teachers:
in-person, school-based training embedded directly in K-12 schools, especially in under-served communities. With no expensive campus and a focus on quality over scale, our candidates train as resident apprentices. We bring the college to the classroom, rebuilding teacher education at the local level.
Join our Honor Roll of Donors in this important opportunity to support a new college and make a difference in the lives of America's students.
Your donation is fully tax deductible to the extent provided by law.
Teachers are the most important factor in student success. Our goal is to prepare teachers who are equipped to ensure the success of every single student. Each dollar you donate contributes to that goal, strengthens the education of children and transforms communities.
