The American Penal Press Contest showed us the vast landscape of prison journalism in 2025. Now, we generate support, provide resources, and offer training to seven prison newsrooms across the country, and counting.

Whether they produce newspapers or films, these newsrooms provide crucial information to their populations and help inform the public's perception of incarceration. But they need your help to do it.
