About OUSD Summer Music Camp
The Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) Summer Music Camp helps young musicians hone their music skills with the help of OUSD music teachers and local guest musicians. This camp is free for current Oakland middle school music students who have successfully completed at least one year of middle school music.
Despite funding challenges, we remain committed to offering this program as a comprehensive FREE summer music camp. Our model has thrived, with former middle school participants returning as high school mentors, college-aged interns, and graduates who later become artists-in-residence.
Now, to sustain this annual offering for our student musicians and retain a faculty to student ratio of 4:1, we are seeking community funding from supporters like you.
