Here at EP, we take pride in our life saving sleeping bag coats, but did you know that the individuals producing them are hired from shelters right here in Detroit?

Our coat is a tangible representation of our transformative work, but our mission is built on the premise that employment is the catalyst for this powerful change.

Over 100,000 coats have been distributed all over the world, but the hands making them here in Detroit tell a story of passion, resiliency, and the power of what can happen when each person has the tools to be the architect of their own future.

Today, we are proud to celebrate that over 275 individuals have transitioned out of homelessness and back into the workforce with the support of Empowerment Plan.
